The AD and Conductor

Chiara Mazzoletti is a PhD candidate in Musicology within the SOUNDSPACE project, funded by the European Research Council and based at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. In 2024 she obtained a Master of Advanced Studies in Gregorian Chant at the University School of Music of Italian Switzerland (Lugano), graduating with honours and publication rights. She previously completed a Bachelor’s in piano at the Conservatorio of Piacenza and both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Musicology at the University of Pavia–Cremona, graduating with distinction. She has undertaken periods of study and research at the University of Southampton (2020) and the Universidad de las Islas Baleares (2025); she also trained at the Laurence Feininger European Centre of Excellence in Trento and was awarded the Swiss ‘Luigi Agustoni’ scholarship for two consecutive years, granted to students who have distinguished themselves in the musicological and artistic field of Gregorian chant.
